Emily F. Janicz joined Lewis & Lewis, P.C. as a law clerk in 2010 while attending law school. Emily is currently the administrative partner and co-manager of the firm’s Buffalo and Niagara Falls Offices. A lifelong resident of Western New York, Emily earned her undergraduate degree in Business Administration – Registered Accounting Program with honors from the University at Buffalo in 2009. In 2012, Emily graduated with honors from the University at Buffalo School of Law.  Emily practices in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Social Security Disability, and Personal Injury. Currently, Emily serves on the Board of Directors of the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and the Board of Directors for the Workers’ Compensation Alliance; she previously served on the Advisory Council of the Workers’ Compensation Board.  In addition, Emily serves proudly as the Deputy Town Attorney of her hometown – Newstead, New York.

Holly L. Schoenborn, Esq. is a Binghamton University graduate.  She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo in 2002.  She has been practicing in the area of workers' compensation since 2004.  She has worked at Dolce Panepinto since 2013, where she co-runs the compensation department.  She serves on the Board of Directors for the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and is Treasurer of the Workers’ Compensation Alliance.  She is a proud mom of three.

This session will cover basic wage and hour rules in the federal Fair Labor Standards Act and New York Labor Law and offer some tips to workers' compensation practitioners to spot potential violations based on workers compensation forms like the C3. 

Clifford Tucker, Esq. is an associate at Sacco & Fillas, LLP who practices in the employment and personal injury groups. He represents clients who have been injured in accidents such as construction injuries, motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian knockdowns, premise cases involving slip and falls. He also represents employees and employers in wage and hour, harassment, and discrimination litigation.  Prior to joining Sacco & Fillas, Clifford developed a diversified background in personal injury and employment litigation. He has managed cases from intake to verdict. He was selected to the super lawyers 2016 New York metro rising stars list. He has taught continuing legal education classes on case preparation, investigation, and discovery and assisted in teaching courses on obtaining settlement offers in personal injury actions, representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle cases, and selecting a jury in personal injury cases. He has also lectured to veterans at the James J Peters VA Medical Center and at the task force of social workers of african descent.

Thomas DeMayo is a Principal in the Cybersecurity and Privacy Advisory Group of the Firm and is responsible for the implementation and design of the Firm’s cybersecurity service client offerings, internal and external audit programs and testing procedures. His cybersecurity services relate to threat and vulnerability management, governance, privacy, incident response, business continuity, disaster recovery and computer forensics.  He has 20 years of experience with securing and managing information risk across a wide range of industries including commercial entities, hospitality, not-for-profit, governmental, healthcare, private schools and higher education. He is also a computer forensic specialist and can assist with the acquisition and analysis of data in a forensically sound and legally-approved manner.  Tom specializes in the areas of information threat and vulnerability management, PCI-DSS compliance, SOX 404 IT Controls, HIPAA, COBIT, and ISO 27001. He has helped many organizations achieve their compliance obligations through intensive and meaningful compliance gap analysis, cyber and information security risk assessments, privacy assessments and penetration tests.  He has also made numerous presentations on cybersecurity before client and industry groups and has written extensively in this area.
