Holly L. Mannillo, Esq. is a Binghamton University graduate. She obtained her Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo in 2002. She has been practicing in the area of workers' compensation since 2004 and has worked at Dolce Panepinto since 2013, where she co-runs the compensation department. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Injured Workers’ Bar Association and is a co-chair of the Workers’ Compensation Alliance. She is a proud mom of three.

Colleen M. Malchow, Esq. worked as a social worker with victims of domestic violence after graduating from Niagara University. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from the University of Buffalo in 2006 and began representing injured workers in 2007. Since 2013, Colleen and Holly Mannillo have co-run the compensation department at Dolce Panepinto. For 10 years, she co-taught the Workers’ Compensation class at UB Law School. When not working, Colleen enjoys traveling.

BEYOND THE C3: VETTING WORK-RELATED ACCIDENTS FOR THIRD-PARTY LIABILITY
Rasheim Donaldson, Esq., Grey & Grey, PLLC

This CLE will provide practical guidance on evaluating workers’ compensation claims for potential third-party liability. The program will discuss strategies for assessing claims for potential personal injury lawsuits, approaches to interviewing claimants, ways to avoid pitfalls, and best practices for identifying viable third-party actions.

Rasheim Donaldson, Esq. is a personal injury attorney at Grey & Grey, PLLC, where he leverages his extensive investigatory and trial experience to secure justice for injured clients. Rasheim was born and raised in New York City. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College, Juris Doctor from Wake Forest University Law School, and LLM in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Law School. Before joining Grey & Grey, Rasheim supervised attorneys who prosecuted a wide range of serious juvenile delinquency cases in Brooklyn. Rasheim received the 2023 New York City Bar Association Municipal Affairs Award for his outstanding achievements with the New York City Law Department. Prior to joining the Law Department, Rasheim served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx where he investigated and prosecuted a vast array of violent and high-profile cases. He tried several cases to verdict ranging from official misconduct to murder. Rasheim is active in several bar associations, including the Nassau County Bar Association where he is Vice Chair of the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury and Diversity and Inclusion Committees. Rasheim was appointed to the Board of Governors of the New York State Attorney-Client Fee Dispute Resolution Program by Appellate Division, First Department, Presiding Justice Dianne T. Renwick, where he is a part of the Board that oversees local arbitration and mediation programs. Rasheim serves on the Lafayette College Northeast Advisory Council, which supports the strategic initiatives of the College and helps strengthen its standing as a top liberal arts and engineering institution. Rasheim is on the Board of the Nyamwange Foundation, an impactful nonprofit organization that empowers young people by providing educational enrichment, financial literacy, and cultural immersion experiences. Before becoming a lawyer, Rasheim was a teacher and a program director in New York City. Rasheim is often called upon to deliver speeches, participate in panel discussion presentations, and contribute to bar association committees. Rasheim enjoys achieving justice for victims, participating in community outreach, mentoring students, and growing professionally. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters.

OVERTIME VIOLATIONS AND EXEMPTIONS

This CLE will provide a practical overview of New York and federal overtime law, with a focus on how to spot overtime violations quickly and take the next steps to protect injured workers’ wage rights. We will cover (1) the overtime rule and how overtime pay is calculated (including “regular rate” and liquidated damages), (2) common red flags that suggest overtime violations in worker intake materials (including recordkeeping problems and off-the-books pay), and (3) the most frequent exemption and misclassification issues. The session is designed to help practitioners identify wage theft issues early and preserve related claims and damages.
Clifford Tucker, Esq. is an associate at SACCO & FILLAS, LLP who practices in the Employment and Personal Injury Groups. He represents clients who have been injured in accidents such as construction injuries, motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian knockdowns, premise cases involving slip and falls. He also represents employees and employers in wage and hour, harassment, and discrimination litigation. Prior to joining Sacco & Fillas, Clifford developed a diversified background in personal injury and employment litigation. He has managed cases from intake to verdict. He was selected to the Super Lawyers 2016 New York Metro Rising Stars list. He has taught Continuing Legal Education classes on case preparation, investigation, and discovery and assisted in teaching courses on obtaining settlement offers in personal injury actions, representing plaintiffs in motor vehicle cases, and selecting a jury in personal injury cases. He has also lectured to Veterans at the James J Peters VA Medical Center and at the Task Force of Social Workers of African Descent. Focusing his practice at Sacco & Fillas, LLP, exclusively on unyielding advocacy, Mr. Tucker is known as a very diligent litigator. As a Trial Attorney at Sacco & Fillas, LLP, he is an invaluable asset to the firm and its clients for whom he zealously advocates at each stage of the case from inception through and including any trial.
