WELCOME

Welcome to the Home page of the Injured Workers' Bar Association, Inc. and thanks for visiting us.

This web site is intended to be a resource to existing members, attorneys seeking to join the organization, and visitors by offering information to injured workers in New York.

ABOUT THE IWBA

The Injured Workers' Bar Association is comprised of attorneys from throughout New York State who concentrate their practice in representation of injured workers. Many of our members practice exclusively in the area of Workers' Compensation Law. Our members provide legal representation for tens of thousands of injured workers every year. To become a member of the IWBA, an attorney must show that 80% or more of their Workers' Compensation practice consists of representing injured workers and not insurance carriers or employers. Most members also help injured workers in personal injury cases and Social Security Disability cases.

The IWBA strives to protect the interests of injured workers by actively participating in administrative policy decisions, by formulating and advocating an action agenda for change and by monitoring relevant legislative activity. We work closely with other legal and labor organizations to advance the interests of injured workers in New York and across the nation.

Non-attorney visitors should consult the Help for Injured Workers page for information about the Workers' Compensation Board Service Centers, to locate the Service Center that will be handling your claim, and for information on securing the services of a member attorney.

Non-member Attorneys that are interested in membership in the Association, please visit the Join The IWBA page.
